Moore County District Attorney Maureen Krueger announces that she is seeking a second term in office. She filed her Notice of Candidacy on February 11, 2008 at the North Carolina State Board of Elections. Krueger was appointed by Governor Michael Easley to fill the District Attorney position when Moore County became its own prosecutorial district in 2007. Before accepting the appointment as District Attorney, Krueger was an attorney in private practice in Carthage, North Carolina as well as a former Moore County Assistant District Attorney.
